Fuel Shut Off
At Audacity Models we believe in taking care of the small details. We find doing this ensures the big picture works out like a charm. For example, the convenient integrated fuel shut-off makes it easy to run the engine dry so that engine bearings last longer. It's not that big a deal, but it sure is handy! By the way, did you notice the rubber dampers for isolating the fuel tank from engine vibrations? How about the nifty anodized aluminum cap under the engine mounting bolt (just visible under the fuel tubing in the lower right hand corner of the picture)? They help spread the loads to more of the side frames - this semi-monocoque approach to construction uses the engine as a load-bearing member, hence ensuring high torsional rigidity (and thus preventing power loss as the gears otherwise could lose perfect alignment). It's all about the details!
