This Tiger 50 is Mitch Shreve's bone stock budget build-up. It's equipped with a very inexpensive OS 46FX-H, inexpensive analog servos, an old CSM 360 gyro, and he's using the stock black paddles (without weights of course), and the stock 600 mm woodies (some say wooden blades are only good for mixing epoxy)! He's running 15% nitro fuel and using the inexpensive PDR0068 2-pc Muffler and she flies pretty sweet! This is a decent indicator of the Tiger 50's out of the box capabilities. Hold onto your socks because USC's Marcus Kim is out to prove there's no such thing as gravity! Marcus' Tiger is stock except he added PDR-0071 3D Dampers (urethane), PDR0069 3D Swashball Kit, and PDR0065 LSD - and since he registered his Tiger, he received (for free) and then added PDR0057 3D Paddles and the PDR0066 3D Flybar. He's equipped his Tiger 50 with fast Futaba S9252 digital servos and a GY-401 gyro/S9454 combo. He runs 30% nitro through an OS 50SX Hyper with a Hatori SB50 muffler and 600 mm V-Blades. In case you don't know it, Marcus finished 5th at the 2005 XFC. Folks, watch this closely 'cuz you're in for a treat! Broadband Connections Dial-up Connections
Pete Campbell flogs the Audacity test mule to within a foot of Mother Earth! The mule's equipped like Marcus' Tiger 50, but has a standard OS Max 50SX-H, a cheapy muffler, and runs on 30% Wildcat fuel. The 600 mm V-Blades really rip as Pete throws her across the sky, but watch as he drops into the pirouetting flips and the tail comes within inches of the ground! Besides nerves of steel, it takes a pilot confident in both his skills and the equipment. Broadband Connections Dial-up Connections
Maryland's Beresford Davis proves he's a dab hand on the controls as he pounds on the Audacity Models test mule. Beresford demonstrates antigravity, sort of, as he shows the Tiger 50 can take what the "Beast" can dish out! Most folks are amazed that a 300 buck beater can take this abuse in the hands of a pro, but what this really proves is you can learn pretty much anything you're willing to try with a Tiger 50 - before risking a multi-thousand dollar pro helicopter - because she can take it! Best of all, repair costs are low - like tail booms for $9.99. So when you meet terra firma thereby learning that while there may not be such thing as gravity (it's really because the Earth sucks), at least you won't break the bank in the process! Georgia's Kevin Garver flies both a 90-class MA Stratus, and a Tiger 50. He mixes his equipment by preferring a JR XP9303 tranny, Futaba S9252 servos, a GY-601 gyro with 9251 servo, and amazingly enough, no governor! While the OS 50SX Hyper is somewhat strangled with a cheap muffler, by using 603 mm MAH blades, there's plenty of power. In this short video he shows us why he affectionately calls his Tiger 50 . . . the little heli that could! Broadband Connections Dial-up Connections
